Say Goodbye to Multi-branded Controller and Network Complexity

With SDN becoming a buzz word, many networking device vendors have made their own SDN controller to control their own devices. But what if you have a network with several brands of devices? How to ensure compatibility?

4 Unexpected Uses of SDN

We have shown off some pretty amazing SDN features in the past, but many new services often go unnoticed today. We will take a look at four unexpected uses for SDN that you can find in-service right now.

DLT-Based Inter-Carrier Commerce

Our Blockchain Credit Scorecard takes the lessons learned from the financial industry and applies it to the Telecom Industry. It automatically detects and updates when a carrier ethernet service is ordered through our self-service portal and updates a digital ledger with consensus mechanism for bookkeeping. The combination of SDN Automation and the Blockchain Credit Scorecard results in a complete package for inter-carrier service delivery, proof of settlement and quality assurance.

Open Compute Networking Journey

DCConnect has brought innovation and differentiation to the marketplace, by providing seamless, on demand capacity to more than 180 of our on-net Points of Presence in Asia, as well as more than 1500 partner pops across the globe. We have been able to achieve this by transitioning from our legacy Hareware platform to a “Whitebox” x86 solution powered by a Linux based Network Operating System.

Backup Path Calculation in a Telco Grade SDN Network

In 2015, researchers from Italy and Germany formulated the k-Shortest Paths with Limited Overlap problem which is representative of backup paths in a Telco network. They have also introduced an algorithm called OnePass that solves this problem, which we use to calculate multiple backup paths for each customer’s connection. All that is left to do is to have the SDN controller program these paths with a traffic engineering technology such as SR-TE.

SDN Pricing will surprise you

SDWAN significantly reduces capital expenditures and simplifies network operations in comparison to the traditional WAN solutions. Let's say we're sitting in Hongkong, we can easily connect to Malaysia for $7 or Vietnam for $4 the price of a cup of coffee at McDonald's. When network operates on demand there are no commitment periods or additional costs for features that you don't need anymore.

Path Calculation in a Telco Grade SDN network

Many Vendors claim to be SDN but they 're only doing network automation. So how can you distinguish between that and a real SDN platform with control and data plane separation.

The video demonstrates how a real SDN system handles Path Calculation.

How Telco Pricing can be as cool as Jennifer Lawrence

Disruption has become a new normal. Anything that can be digitized or automated, will certainly be - and anything that cannot be digitized or automated will become extremely valuable.

DCC can simulate the price and visualize it on a price curve. With this pricing automation, managing multiple product pricing will be the coolest thing to do.

Our SDN controller journey: From Branded package to Self-built solutions

At DCConnect, we like to think of transforming your network from a legacy system into an SDN-enabled system as transforming from ordinary Peter Parker into super-hero Spiderman. You just need to augment your network with the SDN control plane automation.

But what you might not realize is that super-hero suits are not all made equal…

Bespoke Supercars and Custom Portals

The concept of placing different external appearances, for what is virtually the same vehicle is a common theme in the automotive industry and something that we can draw a parallel to with our Whitelabel platform.

A white label partnership is an arrangement which allows someone to sell a product created by someone else, under their own brand name. White labelling is a great option to build a Telco business on DCConnect SDN software.
